HELEN RUTH BARHAM

Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Ruth Barham, age 86 of Fayette, were held  Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, at 2 p.m. from Otts Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Randy Burbank and Bro. Greg Durr  officiated. Burial followed in Furnace Hill Cemetery. She died Monday, Feb. 9,  at her residence.
Helen was born  Sept. 12, 1939, in Gattman, Miss., to Lois Pershing Cantrell and Fannie Lou Morris Cantrell.  She was a 1957 graduate of Lucy Fowler Tech in Chicago, Ill. Helen previously worked at Reltoc. She was a very active and faithful member of Mt. Vernon Methodist Church.  Helen liked to sew and loved being outdoors working in her garden and gathering flowers.  She was a great cook and enjoyed making meals for her family.  Helen was also an avid Alabama football fan and was known to fuss with the officials quite often.  Her family meant everything to her and she treasured all the memories with her precious grandbabies.  Her tender, loving spirit and unconditional love for her family will always be cherished.  
The family would like to offer special thanks to Enhabit Home Health and Access Hospice for their wonderful care.  
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lois Pershing and Fannie Lou Cantrell; husband, Donald Barham; brothers, Ronald Cantrell and James Cantrell; brother in law, Billy Ray Adams; nephew, Brandon Adams; and sisters in law, Therese Mays, Sandra Cantrell and Linda Barham.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna Cargile (Ronnie) of Fayette and Deborah Barham of Tuscaloosa; stepdaughter:, Janet Morgan (Chris) of Jasper; stepson, Jason Barham of  Hamilton, Miss.; brother, Richard Cantrell (Watanna) of Vernon; sister, Glenda Adams of Sulligent; brother in law, Ronald Barham; sisters in law, Jan Cantrell and Charlotte Cantrell; grandchildren, Amy Davis (Craig), Kerie Evans (John), Madison Adams, Faith Adams and Braelyn Barham; great grandchildren, Hannah Davis, Hallie Davis, Harper Davis, Zander Evans, Liam Evans, Colin Evans and Quinn Evans; and special friends, Lillian Pennington, Leah Pennington, Lucy Pennington and Mae Herron.
Pallbearers were Shane Cantrell, Dan Cantrell, Craig Davis, John Evans, Zander Evans and Philip Foster
