Belk Baptist Church to have a revival

Fayette Middle School will have their annual Veteran’s Day Program on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 10 a.m. in the gym.
The mayor and city council are developing a plan to guide Fayette’s growth for the next ten years. The meeting will be held Thursday, Nov. 7 from 5:30 until 7 p.m. at the Fayette Civic Center. Everyone is invited to attend.
There will be a southern gospel music concert on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Fayette Civic Center, 530 Temple Ave. N. in Fayette. It will feature the Dixie Echoes from Pensacola, Fla., along with host groups: Faithful Friends and Chosen Witness. There will be no admission charge but a love offering will be received. BETHLEHEM METHODIST CHURCH, 378 Bethlehem Circle, (Hwy. 43 N. just south of the turn to Lawrence Mill), would like to invite all family, friends and former members to join them for their Annual Harvest Day celebration on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2024, at 11 a.m. Bring your favorite dish and join them for worship, then a meal and fellowship. Bring pictures of loved ones that were involved in the church then moved away or passed. A memory table will be set up for all to share.

The American Legion Post 127 will meet Sunday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. at 100 3rd Ave. N.E. in Fayette for all interested persons to learn more about the American Legion Auxiliary and to join.

The Veteran’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony will be Monday, Nov. 11 at 5:30 p.m. in front of City Hall. The guest speaker will be Rodney Clark, Fayette Medical Center Administrator.
The Fayette Friends of the Animal Shelter (FOTAS) will meet Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the Fayette Civic Center. FOTAS is a group of people who provide weekly care and exercise for the pets at the Fayette Animal Shelter. The Fayette County Republican Committee will hold their regular monthly meeting at the Fayette Civic Center on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. Mr. Will Gilmer, Chairman of the Lamar County Republican Committee will be the guest speaker. All are welcome to attend.
LifePoint Ministry Church, 626 Temple Ave. N., will nost a Swamp John’s fundraiser for the family of Chad and Mandie Stephenson on Friday, Nov. 15 from 4 until 7 p.m. Plates will be $15 and will include sweet or unsweet tea, chicken fingers, shrimp or catfish (or a combination), and cole slaw, hush puppies, a pickle and french fries.
Fayette Church of Christ will have a food giveaway on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 9 until 11 a.m. at the church.

St. Michael’s Episcopal Church will pass out beans and rice and canned goods on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 9 a.m. A hot breakfast is also served at this time. No documentation or income verifications are required.
