SHADY GROVE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 5173 Co. Rd. 100, Fayette, will celebrate the first pastoral appreciation honoring Rev. Timothy L. Whitson and First Lady Stacie Whitson on Sunday, March 8 at 2:30 p.m. The theme is “Faithful to the Call, Fruitful in the Work” (1 Corinthians 4:2). Worship will be at 10 a.m. Guest preacher Pastor Willie Moore will bring the message. A fellowship meal will follow. Guest Preacher Pastor Corey Savage, M.Div. will bring the 2:30 p.m. message.
Whites Chapel Church of Christ, 5121 Co. Rd. 24, Eldridge, will have gospel meeting on Sunday, March 1 through Wednesday, March 4. Sunday’s Bible class will be at 10 a.m., followed by worship at 11 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday night services will be at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be Vance Hutton.
Restoration Springs will hold a sunrise service on Sunday, April 5 at 6 a.m.
Restoration Springs graduation will be held Sunday, March 22 from 3 until 4 p.m. at Fayette First Methodist.
Champion Brothers ”Bringing It Back” will be held Saturday, March 7 at 6 p.m. at Fayette Civic Center, 530 Temple Ave. N., Fayette. It will feature the legendary Chuck Wagon Gang “Celebrating 90 Years of Ministry” along with host groups Faithful Friends and Chosen Witness. There will be no admission charge. The Fayette Co. High School class of 1981 will have their 45th class reunion on Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6. If you have not already registered, please do so. There is a fee of $35 per person or $50 per couple. The fee includes dinner on Friday evening at Fayette Civic Center and lunch on Saturday at Fayette Middle School.
St. Michael’s Episcopal Church will pass out beans and rice and canned goods and a hot breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 9 a.m. No documentation or income verifications are required.
