NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS RG Heritage, LLC, Rebecca Roper Matkov has filed a petition requesting that the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Fayette adopted on July 15, 1996, be amended so as to change the zoning classification of the following described lands from the R-2 Residential District to the M-1 Light Manufacturing District viz:
A portion of the parcel of land owned by RG Heritage, LLC, recorded in deed book 2014, page 4071, in the office of the Judge of Probate of Fayette County, Alabama; situated in section 5, township 16 south, range 12 west of Fayette County Alabama, and being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a found 2 inch iron pipe, being the northeast corner of section 5, township 16 south, range 12 west; thence north 88°47'03" west, a distance of 2,756.64 feet to a set 5/8 inch rebar stamped “sam llc al ca 960-s” on the northern edge of a dirt road and the northern property line of said RG Heritage, LLC, and also being the point of beginning:
Thence leaving said dirt road, and through the lands of rg heritage, llc, the following nineteen (19) courses

Thence northwesterly following said western bank as it meanders for 1695 feet, more or less, subtended by the following two (2 courses):

2. North 26°25'15" west, a distance of 1,271.92 feet to a found 1/2 inch rebar with an illegible cap;
Thence leaving said western bank north 89°46'09" east, a distance of 8.31 feet to a point in the center of said ditch;
Thence northerly following the center of said ditch as it meander for 894 feet, more or less, subtended by the following two (2) courses:
1. North 20°05'29" east, a distance of 401.74 feet to a point;
2. North 01°50'24" east, a distance of 489.82 feet to a point;
Thence leaving said ditch centerline south 88°45'05" west, a distance of 610.51 feet to the eastern right-of-way of 5th avenue, passing a set 5/8 inch rebar stamped “sam witness” at 20.00 feet;
Thence with said right-of-way north 00°22'55" west, a distance of 163.66 feet to a set 5/8 inch rebar stamped “sam llc al ca 960-s” on the norther side of an existing dirt road;
Thence leaving said right-of-way and with said north-side the following twenty-two (22) courses:
1. North 88°47'42" east, a distance of 2.23 feet to a point;

The proposal shall be considered by the City Council on the 24th day of November, 2026, at 5:00 o’clock p.m., at a public meeting to be held at City Hall, at same time and place all persons will have the right and are invited to be present and to be heard either for or against the proposal.
