Convicted murderer denied parole
Hosea R. Johnson, who was sentenced in Jan. 2011 for the June 2008 murder of O’Brian “Tadpole” Rodgers of Fayette, was denied parole on March 7 by the Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles.

The Alabama Board of Pardons and Parole voted on March 15 to deny the parole of convicted murderer Betty Louise Woods. Woods pled guilty in Fayette County Circuit Court in Nov. 1995 to the June 1994 murder of three-year old Ashley White.
The Alabama Board of Pardons and Parole again denied parole to David Mosher, 63, for the killing of Alabama Fish and Game Officer Jimmy Hutto. The latest hearing before the Pardon and Parole Board occurred on Jan. 31. Mosher is currently serving five consecutive life sentences for the 2002 murder of Hutto, the attempted murder of three additional law enforcement officers, and for distribution of a controlled substance.
