BOE makes personnel changes

The Fayette County Board of Education approved personnel items and contracts during its July 27 meeting. All board members were present for the meeting.

 

Williams selected as BHS principal


Dr. Kim Williams was selected as the new principal at Berry High School.

The Fayette County Board of Education voted unanimously during its June 22 meeting to name Dr. Kim Williams as the new principal of Berry High School. All board members were in attendance for the meeting. Dr. Williams is a 1989 graduate of Berry High School, where she was valedictorian of her senior class.

BOE hires Sanford as FCHS Principal

The Fayette County Board of Education approved personnel items and contracts during its May 16 meeting. All board members were present for the meeting, with the exception of board member Julie Stough. At the beginning of the meeting, the valedictorians and salutatorians for the county schools were recognized.

The Fayette County Board of Education approved personnel items and contracts during its April 18 meeting. All board members were present for the meeting.

 

BOE votes to ‘non-renew’ Sawyer’s principal contract

The Fayette County Board of Education voted during its March 16 meeting to non-renew Steve Sawyer’s contract as principal of Berry High School. All board members were present for the meeting. The meeting was attended by numerous concerned parents and citizens of the county, and the board also had its attorney present for the meeting. Sawyer was given three minutes at the beginning of the meeting to address the board, and read a prepared statement to the board members, superintendent and others who were in attendance for the meeting.

BOE meets at Fayette Co. High School

The Fayette County Board of Education held its Jan. 17 meeting on the campus of Fayette County High School. All board members were in attendance for the meeting. Prior to the meeting, Superintendent Jim Burkhalter and the members of the Fayette County Board toured the campus of the school and enjoyed a meal provided by FCHS Principal Jennifer Sanford. All board members were present for the meeting.

 

BOE considers building purchase

The Fayette County Board of Education held its regular monthly meeting on Nov. 29 at Fayette Elementary School. All board members were present for the meeting. Before starting the meeting, Superintendent Jim Burkhalter, along with board members Tom Hubbert and Tierre Agnew, each took the oath of office for a new term at their respective positions.
