Fayette native and longtime attorney Steven M. Nolen was honored with the 2025 E.A. “Larry” Drummond Lifetime Scouting Achievement Award at the 13th Annual Luncheon on Friday, Feb. 28. The award recognizes his lifelong commitment to scouting and the significant impact he has had on the youth of Fayette County.

Fayette Co. man charged in Whitson’s death

On June 29, Michael Wade Tucker was arrested and charged for the murder of 21-year-old Laci Whitson.

Pharmacy Bandits nabbed in Tuscaloosa

Two suspects, Jaylun Dshaun Murray and Keante R. White, were arrested after an attempted robbery at Berry Discount Apothecary on June 29. Both were charged with second-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, and receiving stolen property.
