St. Michael’s Episcopal Church will have a summer art camp on Wednesday, July 16 through Friday, July 18 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will be several different craft “stations” for kids to choose from. St. Michael’s Episcopal Church will pass out beans and rice and canned goods on the Saturday, June 28 starting at 9 a.m. A hot breakfast is also served at this time. No documentation or income verifications are required.
There will be a health fair on Saturday, June 21 starting at 12 p.m. at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Everyone in the community is invited. A free health screening will be provided. They will also distribute valuable health information. People are encouraged to bring family, friends and neighbors. Rev. Timothy Whitson is the pastor.
The FCHS Class of 1965 will celebrate their 60 year reunion on Saturday, June 21 at the Fayette Civic Center. They will meet at 11 a.m. for socializing and picture taking, followed by lunch at 12:30 p.m. If you were a member but did not graduate, you are still considered a classmate. After the meal, there will be a program and more socializing.
