The Berry varsity boys defeated the Brilliant Tigers, 10- 0, on Tuesday, April 8, in game one of a doubleheader. In game two, the Wildcats won 5-0 against Brilliant. The Wildcats defeated the Sulligent Blue Devils, 10-8, on Friday, April 11. 

The Berry varsity girls secured a 6-3 victory over Brilliant on Monday, April 7. On Tuesday, the Lady Wildcats lost 2-1 to Brilliant.  The Wildcats grabbed a 4- 3 victory over Lamar County on Wednesday, April 9.  Berry fell 7-4 to the Hubbertville Lions on Thursday, April 10. 

Berry High School varsity girls played in a triple header single elimination on Saturday, April 5. The Lady Wildcats beat Pickens Academy 8-3 and Oakman 2-1, but fell 10-6 to Lamar County in the championship game. “I am very proud of these young ladies and my coaches for overcoming many obstacles while continuing to rally around each other to finish as runner up in a very competitive field,” said Coach Darrell Thomas.

The Hubbertville varsity boys took down the Berry Wildcats, 10-0, on Monday, March 31. The Lions defeated Berry again, 5-3, on Thursday, April 2.

The Hubbertville Varsity girls grabbed a 4-3 victory over Meek on Tuesday, April 1. The Lady Lions lost 12- 8 to Winston County on Wednesday, April 2. On Thursday, April 3, Hubbertville suffered a 9-1 loss against Berry.

The Fayette County varsity boys fell 7-1 to the Haleyville Lions on Tuesday, April 1.  On Thursday, April 4, in game one of a double header, the Tigers lost to Haleyville, 4- 2. In game two, Fayette was defeated 3-2 by the Lions.

The Fayette County varsity boys won big against the South Lamar Stallions 7-0 on Monday, March 23. The Tigers lost to the Gordo Greenwave 6-0 on Thursday, March 27, and were defeated by the Tuscaloosa Academy Knights 8-5 on Friday, March 28.

The Fayette County varsity girls lost 20-17 against Northridge on Thursday, March 27. The Lady Tigers were defeated 10-1 by the Winfield Pirates on Friday. March 28.

The Berry varsity girls secured a 6-5 victory over Pickens Academy on Tuesday, March 25. The Lady Wildcats fell to South Lamar 6-5 on Thursday, March 27.

The Berry varsity boys defeated the Marion County Raiders 17-5 on Tuesday, March 25. The Wildcats earned another victory, 5-4, over Marion County on Thursday, March 27. Berry narrowly defeated the Pickens Academy Pirates 11-10 on Friday, March 28.

The Hubbertville varsity girls were defeated 13-4 by the Meek Tigers on Monday, March 24. The Lady Lions fell to the Carbon Hill Bulldogs 4-1 on Friday, March 28 in game one of a double header. In game two, Hubbertville narrowly defeated South Lamar with a score of 12-11.

The Hubbertville varsity boys defeated the Brilliant Tigers 16-1 in game one of a doubleheader on Tuesday, March 25. In game two, the Lions secured another win against Brilliant 13-3. Hubbertville was victorious over Lamar County with a 8-7 win on Friday, March 28.

On Monday, March 17, the Fayette County varsity boys defeated Christian Heritage Academy 2-1. The Tigers lost 7-1 to the Calera Bulldogs on Tuesday, March 18.

The Tigers won big over the Bartlesville Bruins 8-1 on Wednesday, March 19 in game one of a double header. In game two, Fayette County was defeated 12-2 by the Spanish Fort Toros.

The Hubbertville varsity boys won 6-1 against Lynn on Thursday, March 20. The Lions won a close game 6-5 against Pickens Academy on Friday, March 21. 

The Berry Wildcats defeated the Lynn Bears 5-0 on Monday, March 17 in game one of a double header. In game two, the Wildcats fell 10-0 to the Hackleburg Panthers

The Fayette County varsity boys defeated the South Lamar Stallions 8-4 on Monday, March 10. On Tuesday, March 11, the Tigers defeated the Curry Yellow Jackets 10-0.

The Tigers claimed another victory over Curry, 14-1, in game one of a triple header on Thursday, March 13. In game two, Fayette defeated Curry 3-0.

The Berry varsity boys lost to the Curry Yellow Jackets 9- 7 on Monday, March 10. The Wildcats defeated Phillips Bears 15-0 on Tuesday, March 11. 

The Berry varsity girls lost 9-5 to Marion County on Monday, March 10.

On Friday March 7, the Hubbertville varsity boys defeated Carbon Hill 11-5.  The Lions won 6-5 over Sulligent on Monday, March 10.  The Hubbertville Lions fell 9-2 to the Winfield Pirates on Thursday, March 13 and lost 4-1 to Lynn on Friday, March 14.

The Hubbertville varsity girls defeated Phillips 20-4 on Monday and won against Brilliant 11-6 on Tuesday, March 11.

On Monday, March 3, the Berry varsity girls earned a 12- 11 win over Pickens Academy.  The Lady Wildcats faced a tough challenge and fell 7-2 to the Gordo Greenwave on Friday, March 7.  On Saturday March 8, Berry opened the day with a 4-4 tie against South Lamar during their first game at Tiger Slam. In their second game of the day, the Lady Wildcats bounced back with a 4-3 win over Oakman. In the final game of the day, Berry fell short to Fayette, losing 4-2.

The Hubbertville varsity boys were defeated by Hackleburg in an 11-0 loss on Saturday, March 1.  On Monday, March 3, the Lions secured a big win over Sulligent, 10-0.

The Hubbertville varsity girls lost their game to the Northridge Jaguars 4-1 on Saturday, March 8 in game one of a double header. In game two, the Lady Lions fell to the Gordo Greenwave 4-1.

The Hubbertville Varsity boys fell 5-1 against the Addison bulldogs on Tuesday, Feb. 25.  The Lions defeated Carbon Hill 10-4 on Thursday, Feb. 27. 

On Friday, Feb. 21. the Hubbertville Varsity girls lost 8-4 to Shoals Christian.  In game one of a double header on Saturday, Feb. 22, the Lady Lions fell 7-5 to Vina. In game two, Hubbertville lost 8-5 to Decatur Heritage Christian Academy.

The Hubbertville Varsity boys were crowned NW Region Champs after defeating the Meek Tigers 69-56 on Monday, Feb. 17. On Monday, Feb. 3, the Hubbertville varsity boys basketball team secured a victory against Lynn in the Area Tournament Semifinals with a score of 63-36. The Lions narrowly defeated Sumiton Christian on Tuesday,  Feb. 4, with a score of 68-67. On Saturday, Feb. 8 the varsity boys was crowned area champions after defeating the Addison Bulldogs 82-47.

On Monday, Feb. 3, the Berry varsity girls faced the Hubbertville Lions in an area tournament but fell short with a final score of 49-36.

On Jan. 27, the Hubbertville varsity girls team triumphed over Phillips with a score of 63-38. Lady Lions continued their winning streak on Jan. 28, defeating South Lamar 61-34.

On Jan. 27, the Hubbertville varsity boys team secured a win against Phillips with a score of 82- 61. The Lions faced a tough challenge against South Lamar and fell short with a score of 71-57 on Jan. 28.

Fayette County’s varsity boys basketball team earned a 68-61 victory over Haleyville on Monday, Jan. 27. However, the Tigers fell 57-39 to Brooks on Thursday, Jan. 30.

The Berry varsity girls basketball team lost 61-36 to Hubbertville on Jan. 24, and lost to Brilliant, 53-38, on Jan. 25.

On Jan. 27, the Lady Wildcats defeated Sumiton Christian 63-24, but lost again to Brilliant 72-41 on Jan. 28. In their final regular-season game on Jan. 30, the girls finished with a 58- 32 win over Pickens Academy.

The Berry varsity boys basketball team lost to Sumiton Christian 90-86 on Jan. 27, but bounced back with a 64-34 victory over Brilliant on Jan. 28. The boys closed out their regular season with a 54-18 win over Pickens Academy on Jan. 30.

On Monday, Jan. 20, the Berry varsity girls basketball team lost to Hubbertville 61- 30. The Lady Wildcats fell to Vernon, 52-30 on Tuesday, Jan. 21.

On Jan. 23, Berry secured a victory over West Blocton 50-15.

The Berry varsity boys team lost to Hubbertville on Monday, Jan. 20, by a score of 67- 50. The Wildcats fell to Lamar County 64-60 on Tuesday, Jan. 21.

On Friday, Jan. 24, the Wildcats fell to Hubbertville, 65-54. Berry secured a 66-32 win against Brilliant on Saturday, Jan. 25.

On Monday, Jan. 20, The Fayette varsity boys won 62- 45 against Gordo.

The Fayette Varsity Girls lost their Tuesday, Jan. 21, game to Sulligent by a score of 54-39.

Hubbertville basketball coach Caleb Hynds recorded his 200th basketball coaching win last week when the Hubbertville Varsity Lady Lions defeated Vernon. Hynds took over the position of coach at Hubbertville in 2021 from Lamar Harris.

The Hubbertville varsity boys basketball team had sa string of wins last week. They defeated Sumiton Christian on Tuesday, Jan. 21, with a final score of 88- 70.

The Lions triumphed over Lamar County, 77-56 on Wednesday, Jan. 22. On Friday, Jan. 24, the Lions defeated Berry 65-54.

The Hubbertville Lady Lions won big last week in all three of their games. They defeated Sumiton Christian on Tuesday, Jan. 21, by a score of 67-24.

The Lady Lions defeated Lamar County, 39-28 on Jan. 22 and on Jan. 24 defeated Berry 62-36

On Monday, Jan. 13, the Berry varsity girls basketball team won against Vina High School 45-35.  The Lady Wildcats defeated Oak Grove 35-27 on Tuesday, Jan.14.

On Thursday, Jan. 16, Berry lost to Lynn 48-37. The Lady Wildcats narrowly defeated Pickens County 47-46 on Friday.

On Monday, Jan. 13, the Berry varsity boys basketball team defeated Vina High School 62-37.  The Wildcats secured a 59-42 victory over Oak Grove on Tuesday Jan. 14. On Thursday, Berry won 53-49 in a close game against Lynn.

On Monday, Jan. 13, the Fayette County varsity boys basketball team won against South Lamar 62-57.  The Tigers defeated Hamilton 73-68 on Friday, Jan. 17.

On Friday, Jan. 3, the Fayette County varsity boys team won 43-49 against Northside. The Tigers lost their game against Haleyville 54-77 on Jan. 7, and on Jan. 9, Fayette won their game against Winfield 73-71.

On Jan. 7, the Lady Tigers secured a big area win 55-54 over Haleyville.

Berry

On Jan. 6,  the Berry varsity boys team lost 78-45 to Sumiton Christian. The Wildcats lost 63-54 to Phillips on Jan. 9.

On Jan. 6, the Berry varsity girls team lost to Sumiton Christian 38-41. The Lady Wildcats also lost to Phillips 37-54 on Jan. 9.

The 2014 Hubbertville School football team was honored at a recent basketball game against Brilliant. The team went undefeated during the regular season, NAC Champions, Regional Champions, and North Alabama Champions and played for the State Championship.They ended the 2014 season with a 13-1 record. Nathan Young, was the Fox6 Sideline Defensive Player of the year and also played in the North vs South All Star Game. Coach Lamar Harris was the NAC Coach of the year.  Members of the team, along with  coaches and the principal, are shown above.

The Hubbertville varsity girls’ team fell to Winfield, 47-42, on Dec. 17. Two days later, the Lady Lions lost to Brilliant, 50-46.

The Hubbertville varsity boys’ team lost to Winfield, 67-59, on Dec. 17.  The Lions bounced back on Dec. 19 with a 64-38 victory over Brilliant. 

The Fayette varsity girls’ team defeated Gordo, 47-15, on Dec. 19. On Dec. 21, the Lady Tigers faced a tough loss, 51-31, to Sulligent in the WAC Semifinal.

The Fayette varsity boys won 51-24 against Gordo on Dec. 19.  However, the Tigers lost to South Lamar, 50-43, on Dec. 21. 

On Monday Dec. 9, the Berry High School Varsity Girls played against Lamar County and lost 38-49. On Thursday, Dec. 12, The Lady Wildcats traveled to face off against Phillips and lost 36-47.

FCHS Varsity Boys

On Tuesday, Dec. 10, The Fayette Varsity boys played against Hamilton and won 55- 48. On Friday, Dec. 13, The Tigers faced off against Winfield and won 59-50.

FCHS Varsity Girls

On Dec.10 the Varsity Lady Tigers faced the Hamilton Aggies and lost 62-46. On Friday, Dec. 13 Fayette played against Winfield and lost 51-39.

On Monday, Dec. 9, the Berry High School varsity boys’ basketball team played against Lamar County and lost 52-56.  On Thursday, Dec. 12, the Wildcats faced off against Phillips and were defeated 88-74.

On Friday, Dec. 13, the Hubbertville Varsity Boys Basketball team won their NAC Tournament game against Marion County High School by a score of 72- 61. The team was recently recognized as NAC Tournament Champions.

On Friday, Nov. 22, Fayette County’s varsity boys team lost to Northside, 65-55. The Lady Tigers also lost to Northside on Friday, 51- 39.

On Dec. 2, the Lady Wildcats opened their season with a 25-13 win over Oak Grove. On Dec. 3, Berry faced a tough match against Pickens Academy and lost, 44-30.

On Dec. 2, Berry High School’s varsity boys team faced Oak Grove to open their season, but lost, 58- 46.  The Wildcats bounced back on Dec. 3, defeating Pickens Academy, 50-26.

The Berry Wildcats played host to the top-ranked Wadley Bulldogs in the third round of the state playoffs.

The Berry Wildcats traveled to face the third ranked Spring Garden Panthers for the first time in school history. On paper, it should have been a high scoring game as two high octane offenses met with the Wildcats averaging 54 points a game and Spring Garden averaging 44 points a game. As so often happens, what fans got was an entertaining defensive battle that the Wildcats ultimately won 6 - 0 to punch their ticket to round three.

The Berry Wildcats hosted the Addison Bulldogs in the first round of the state playoffs. Berry won the toss and elected to receive the opening kickoff.
