On Monday, Feb. 3, the Hubbertville varsity boys basketball team secured a victory against Lynn in the Area Tournament Semifinals with a score of 63-36. The Lions narrowly defeated Sumiton Christian on Tuesday, Feb. 4, with a score of 68-67. On Saturday, Feb. 8 the varsity boys was crowned area champions after defeating the Addison Bulldogs 82-47.
On Feb. 3, the Hubbertville varsity girls basketball team defeated Berry with a score of 49-36. On Feb. 4, the Lady Lions secured a victory against Lynn with a score of 45-38. The varsity girls was named area champions after defeating the Addison Bulldogs, 52-29 on Saturday, Feb. 8.
