Ellen Elaine Trimm Enis

Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Elaine Trimm Enis, age 71 of Bankston, were held Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 2 p.m. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Philadelphia Baptist Church cemetery. Bro. Rick Cargile and Bro. Randall Trimm officiated. She died Saturday, March 23.
Ellen was first a disciple of Jesus Christ and a Sunday School teacher at Philadelphia Baptist Church. Second, she was a loving wife and mother. She wore such titles as “Softball Coach”, “Girl Scout Troop Leader” and “Last Minute Book Report Diorama Creator”. Her favorite place to be was alongside her husband with her kids in tow.
Last but not least, she shared her love with the rest of the world. She shared her love with the rest of the world. This includes over 30 years of service as a Paraprofessional with the Fayette County Board of Education, loving and caring for differently abled children with multiple disabilities and challenges. She always expressed that these kids and their families taught her the greatest life lessons and she called all of them “her kid”.
Ellen enjoyed fully the “Little Things” in life; growing a rainbow of zinnias and gargantuan elephant ears, cooking gourmet meals “only for the ones she loved”, and surprisingly weedeating. God has called another good and faithful servant home to tend His Heavenly flower beds.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Audra Taylor Trimm; a sister, Nancy Fuller; and a brother, John Harold Trimm.
Survivors include her husband, Dwight Enis; three daughters, Amanda Moore (Gregg), Jennifer Enis and Camille Howell (Adam); two brothers, Dwight Trimm (Judy) and Duane Trimm (Melissa); brother in law, Don Fuller; and sister in law, Sara Jo Trimm.
Honorary pallbearers were Steven Ray Vice, Andrew Trimm, Nathanael Trimm and Rusty Fuller.
Active pallbearers were Dwight Trimm, Doug Trimm, Thomas Trimm, Danny Moore, Jason Gray and Cody Vice.
