HOMER RUSSELL TEETER
Mr. Homer Russell Teeter, age 69, of Bankston, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
Russ was born in Missouri on July, 17, 1952.
He is survived by his wife, Patty; sons Russell (Tracy), Erik (Leslie), Christopher; daughter, Kelly (George) and their children and grandchildren; daughter, Hillary (Kip); grandchildren, Zachary (Arthur), Alex (Annabeth), Nicolas, Morgan, Allison, Dylan, Jacob, Chloe, Marley, and great-grandson, Ian.
He is preceded in death by daughter Christina; parents, Oda and Luther; siblings, Norman, Maudie, and Barbara.
Russ met and married his wife Patty as a teenager and started his career in the US Navy. He never met a stranger and made the BEST smoked ribs ever, just ask anybody. He was a proud man with a heart of gold. A noble, strong-willed family man, his sense of humor was bold, but always playful. He was a loving father: he could be firm, but always understanding.
A patriot who loved his country, he was proud of his service in the Navy- and even more proud of his family, and the name they share.
Russ always wanted a Burial at Sea, therefore in lieu of a funeral, we will have a Memorial/Celebration of Life at Bungalow’s in Fayette, Saturday, Jan. 29 at 2 p.m.
All family and friends are welcome to attend.
