FCHS voleeyball team wins 'Falcon Frenzy'

The Fayette County Lady Tigers’ volleyball team traveled to Central High School on Saturday, Aug. 24 to compete in the “Falcon Frenzy” volleyball tournament. This was the season opener for Fayette, but the Lady Tigers began its 2019 season in fine fashion, winning 12 consecutive sets against six different opponents to finish the tournament undefeated and claim the championship trophy. Volleyball team wins championship

The West Alabama Juniors’ Club Volleyball team (Purple Storm) took first place in the Eighteens Division at the Cupids Battle Tournament in Moulton on Saturday, Feb. 2.

Berry High School completes volleyball season

Berry High School’s Volleyball team finished the season as the Area Seven Runner-Up and competed in Montgomery in the super regionals.

FCHS finishes successful volleyball season

The Fayette County High School varsity volleyball team completed a successful 2018 season, winning the regular season area title and finishing as the area runner-up to the Haleyville Lions in the tournament. The Lady Tigers also were the West Alabama Conference (WAC) champions during the season. Fayette finished with an outstanding 29-10 overall record.

 

Bevill finishes volleyball season

Bevill State finished its volleyball season with a 7-16 record and with Brooke Self being named Second Team All-Region. Head Coach Theresa Berry-Franks said she is proud of the team and their accomplishments during the second season of the renewal of Bevill Volleyball. Berry-Franks is also excited to have freshman players Ricki-Jill Burrough, Amanda Cunningham and Madison Pavlovec.She thanked the crowd for their support this season and said that she is hitting the recruiting trail to find new talent for next year’s squad.

Fayette volleyball celebrates senior night

The Fayette County High School volleyball team celebrated its Senior Night on Oct. 16 with a regional match against Cordova. The seniors on this year's team are Mary Kate Ballew and Aleah Byars.

The Fayette Lady Tigers volleyball team defeated Cordova in straight sets: 25-22, 25-10 and 25-23, to win a key area matchup as the volleyball regular season winds down. Fayette currently leads the area four matches to one.

 

Fayette wins WAC Volleyball Championship

The Fayette County High School Lady Tigers volleyball team won the West Alabama Conference (WAC) championship, played in Fayette on Sept. 15.

Henry signs with AUM

Alex Henry has signed to play her remaining two years of college with Auburn University of Montgomery. She was a standout volleyball player at Fayette County High School and only played one year at Bevill during the college’s reinstatement of the volleyball team in 2017.
