The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office released the following announcement concerning the recent arrests of several suspects and the confiscation of guns, drugs and drug paraphernalia. As part of an ongoing investigation into recent drug complaints in the Berry area, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Berry Police Department and the Alabama State Probation and Parole officers conducted an operation which resulted in multiple arrest in and around the Berry area.

On Oct. 19, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Branndon Collins, along with Berry Police Dept. Officer Randall Kelley, located subject Caleb Early at a location in Guin. Early was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants with Fayette County, along with numerous other agencies. Early was in possession of methamphetamine and a trafficking weight of Fentanyl.

On May 21, the Fayette County Sheriff’s office, along with officers from the Berry and Fayette police departments, executed a search warrant in the 400 block of County Rd. 128 in Berry.
The search warrant was obtained after a lengthy investigation into the unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

The Fayette  County Sheriff’s Department recently completed three significant drug arrests as the result of serving warrants at local residences.

Six people have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms following an investigation into contraband smuggled into the Fayette County Jail. The defendants each played a role in smuggling illegal drugs and paraphernalia, including methamphetamine, heroin, Suboxone and syringes, to inmates in the facility.

The 24th Judicial Circuit’s District Attorney’s Office announced on Friday, Oct. 30, the arrest of 16 defendants indicted in Fayette County on drug-related charges following an extensive multi-agency investigation that spanned several months. Law enforcement agents seized more than $10,000 in cash, multiple vehicles, and numerous firearms during the operation intended to curtail narcotics distribution in Fayette County. Drugs including methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana were seized from the defendants.

Anne Michelle Porter of Fayette, former Fayette Elementary School teacher, pled guilty in Fayette County Circuit Court on June 14 to the charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. As a result of her plea, Porter received a 32-month sentence in custody of the Alabama Department of Corrections. However, the sentence will be suspended and Porter will be placed under three years of supervised probation.

Tatarian Williams, 28, of Fayette, accepted a plea deal in Fayette County Circuit Court on April 4 and was sentenced to spend the next 20 years in an Alabama Department of Corrections facility. Williams was arrested on June 10, 2016 and charged with drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia following a raid on his residence, located on 3rd St. SE in Fayette. According to reports of the arrest, Antonious Charblye Delaney and Dionne Cherell Dixon were also arrested during the raid.
