On Tuesday, Sept. 9, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, with the support from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Aviation Unit and the Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force, conducted a marijuana eradication detail.
Fayette Police are continuing to investigate a break in at Andrew Bynum GMC that occurred Tuesday, July 29, between 9 - 9:30 p.m. at the dealership located at 2535 Temple Ave. Jenkins confirmed that another stolen vehicle, the 2500 GMC Sierra, was recently located in Laurel, Miss.

A Fayette woman has been arrested in connection to an employee theft at a local doctor’s office.
A suspect is in custody following a break-in at Andrew Bynum GMC where three vehicles were reported stolen. According to Fayette Police Chief Danny Jenkins, the break in occurred on Tuesday, July 29, between 9 - 9:30 p.m at Andrew Bynum GMC located on 2535 Temple Ave. in Fayette.

A Fayette County man will serve the rest of his life in prison for the murder of Laci Cheyenne Whitson in 2024, 24th Judicial Circuit District Attorney Andy Hamlin announced Friday.
Michael Wade Tucker, 37, pled guilty to murder at a hearing in Fayette County Circuit Court Friday morning. Following the plea, Judge Sam Junkin ordered him to serve life in prison, the maximum possible sentence for murder.
