Warm weather brings out venomous snakes
Rattlesnakes are one of the six venomous types of snake found in Alabama
The weather is quickly warming up and hibernation is over for Alabama’s 40-50 snake species. They’re now on the loose and looking for food and mates during spring and early summer. The end of March, April and May are when they’re most active, but they become nocturnal as the weather heats up during the day in the summer months.
