Public Hearing Notice
The City of Fayette is applying to the Alabama Department of Transportation for Operational, Administration, Planning, and Capital assistance award under 49 U.S.C. Section 5311 of the Federal Transit Laws. This grant will provide financial assistance for public transportation service for the residents of the City of Fayette.
The service will be provided for general public use within the city limits of Fayette. Office hours are Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and scheduled rides will be available from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. All residents, including mobility device users, must schedule 24 hours in advance. Fares will be $4.00 per round trip, $2.00 one way, and $1.00 for each additional stop.

This grant funding will provide federal financial assistance for Administration, Operational, Planning, and Capital Expenses.
A public hearing will be held on Tuesday May 12, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Fayette City Hall, 203 Temple Avenue North, Fayette, Alabama for public comment. If there are questions or comments or if information is needed in another language or alternative format, contact:
