The Newtonville Community Center will have a plate sale Sunday, Aug. 30 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Plates will be $12 and include smoked or fried chicken, fried corn, green beans, cake, rolls and tea. Proceeds to benefit the center.

WASTE MANAGEMENT EXEMPTION APPLICATIONS TO BE ACCEPTED
The sign up for the waste management billing exemption is during the months of Aug. and Sept. The deadline to apply is Sept. 30. Sign up must be done annually. Applicants must have the following: a completed notarized form, three consecutive bank statements, print out of monthly social security earnings and the combined household income. There is a $10 sign up fee.
