A memorial service for Mrs. Evelyn Taylor Olive, age 78 of Fayette, will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Fayette Church of Christ. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. She died Sunday, March 30.

Burial followed in the Whites Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery. She passed away on Thursday, March 27, surrounded by her family in the DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Dr. Joe David Acker, age 86 of Fayette, died Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Aspire Physical Recovery Center in Hoover. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Fayette First Methodist Church. A reception will follow in the church’s Fellowship Hall.

Funeral services for Mr. James Earl Hubbert, age 86 of Jasper, were held Friday, March 14, 2025, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Curry. Pastor Josh Mayes and Reverend Johnny Frazier presided. Charles Arthur Patterson, age 84, of Fayette, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024, at DCH Regional hospital. He leaves behind a legacy of love and a life well-lived. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with the funeral service immediately following. Dr. Scott Davis will be officiating the service. Both services will be held at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home.
