On Tuesday, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, along with Fayette and Carbon Hill Police, escorted Carbon Hill Police Officer Jordan Driver, to his home in Fayette. Driver was involved in a motorcycle crash on Aug. 29 that resulted in serious injuries and was airlifted to UAB, where he spent around seven to eight weeks before being transferred to DCH in Tuscaloosa on Oct. 30. Since then, Driver has undergone multiple surgeries and therapies. “It’s going to be a long road to recovery,” said Fayette Police Corporal Jordan Roberts. “We’re very thankful for all the support and prayers during this time.” Despite the challenges, Driver has shown incredible strength and resilience throughout his recovery.
