Local athletes win Bryant - Jordan Awards



The Bryant-Jordan Student-Athlete Program, now in its 37th year, has announced the 2024 regional winners who were selected from school nominations for this year’s scholarship distribution. More than $1 million in scholarships are available this year. A total of 102 high school senior student-athletes, 52 in the Bryant-Jordan Scholar-Athlete Program and 52 in the Bryant-Jordan Student Achievement Program, have advanced from area nominations. They will be recognized at the 37th annual Bryant-Jordan Awards Banquet to be held Monday night, April 15, at the Birmingham-Sheraton Hotel.

The Fayette Area Chamber of Commerce held a “Volunteers Appreciation Luncheon” on June 6 to recognize and honor volunteers throughout the community.

 

BSCC announces 'Student Honors Awards'



Bevill State Community College in Fayette announed its 2019-20 academic year “Student Honors Awards” recently. Dr. Kim Ennis, president of Bevill State Community College in Fayette announced the awards and had the following remarks to say on behalf of the administration, faculty, and staff of Bevill State. “Typically, this is a season of celebration at our institution, when we celebrate the accomplishments of our students through graduation programs, student honors programs, and in years past, nursing pinnings.” Ennis said.
