Alabama Extension office to host Pasture Walk

Alabama Extension will host a Pasture Walk Through Event on Friday, July 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Upper Coastal Plains Research Station. Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. This event will focus on preparing pastures and grasses for the upcoming fall.  They will discuss topics such as fire ant management, spray calibration, weed management, stockpiling forages and much more. "The Broken - a place for you" to begin meeting

“The Broken - a place for you” will begin meeting weekly on Wednesday, July 2 at 6 p.m. at New Hope Independent Baptist Church, 11901 Hwy. 171 N., Fayette. Whether you are experiencing a pornography addiction, drug addiction, recovering from rape, homosexuality, abortion, prostitution, adultery, gambling, suicide, alcohol, murder, liars, church hurt, abandonment, childhood trauma, grief or divorce, come broken and leave whole. There will be topic speakers monthly.

St. Michael's to have a summer art camp

St. Michael’s Episcopal Church will have a summer art camp on Wednesday, July 16 through Friday, July 18 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will be several different craft “stations” for kids to choose from. The older children have the option to go downstairs with Ms. Deb. All supplies, lunch and drinks will be supplied at no charge. There is no age limit, if your child can craft, they can come. Calling all crochet crafters

There will be a non-denominational crocheted shawl/baby blanket ministry at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 431 10th St, N.W., in Fayette, on Thursdays at 1:30 p.m.  Finished items are yours to keep, donate or sell. 55th Fayette Arts Festival

The 55th Fayette Arts Festival is Saturday, Sept. 13,  at the  Fayette Civic Center/Art Museum from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Calling all Artists and Craftsmen to apply to sell your original, handmade art and/or craft or goods.  You can get an application at the Fayette Civic Center/Art Museum at 530 Temple Ave. N., Fayette or call 205-932-8727 or email us at fayetteartmuseum@yahoo.com to get your application today.  The application deadline is August 15, so apply quick to reserve your spot.  It's first come, first serve.
