The propane leak at the intersection of County Road 30 West and Highway 18 East in Berry has now been resolved. Residents are now able to return to their homes.
There will be a residual smell overnight. This smell is an additive that is added to the gas, so leaks can be detected. Thank you for your patience during this time.
The Emergency Management Agency of Fayette County has issued the follow statement via Facebook:

Propane Leak at the intersection of County Road 30 West and Highway 18 East Update.
The HAZMAT team is on scene and actively working on the issue. The 1/4 mile evacuation from this area is still in effect. Your safety is of the upmost importance. Thank you for your patience.
