House Bill 238 (HB 238), also known as the Fair Meds Act, sponsored by Representative Phillip Rigsby, (R)-Huntsville, suggests the addition of a "dispensing fee" to the cost of prescription drugs. The purpose of the bill is to introduce a $10.64 fee for every prescription filled in the state.
