MATTIE SMITH

Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Smith, age 95 of Fayette, were held Friday, Dec. 29, 2023 from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Fayette Memorial Gardens. Bro Jerry Ray officiated. She died Tuesday, Dec. 26,  at Fayette Long Term Care.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rube and Ola McDonald Nichols; husband, Hezzie Smith; and three sisters, Louise Price, Charlene Miller and Roenia Price.
Survivors include a nephew, Jesse Price (Gena) of Fayette; nieces: Cindy Ray (Jerry) of Fayette and Tenna Davis (Kenneth) of Lynn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers were Andy Howton, Beau Brantley, Kooper Brantley, Parker Ray, Randall Price and Jordan Price.
Nelson Funeral Home of Fayette directed.
