Location of ball field sparks discussion during city council meeting

The Fayette City Council held its regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at city hall, with all members present except for Councilwoman Aliska Hughes-Monroe. The meeting opened with a prayer led by Milborn Savage, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilman Jerry Nichols. Mayor Rod Northam called the meeting to order and requested approval of the minutes from the Jan. 14 meeting, which were unanimously approved.
