Three arrested on drug charges

On May 21, the Fayette County Sheriff’s office, along with officers from the Berry and Fayette police departments, executed a search warrant in the 400 block of County Rd. 128 in Berry.
The search warrant was obtained after a lengthy investigation into the unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

 

Warrants lead to 12 arrests



Two warrants served on Fayette County residences last week resulted in the arrest of 12 people. Fayette County Sheriff Byron Yerby said that on Jan. 8, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, the 24th Judicial Circuit’s District Attorneys Office, the Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force, the Alabama Bureau of Investigations, a federal postal inspector, and the Berry Police Department’s Canine Unit executed a search warrant on a residence in the 2100 block of Pender Road.

Glen Allen awards bid, seeks arrest warrant

The Glen Allen Town Council voted unanimously to accept a bid from R.G. Remodeling of Winfield to implement ceiling repairs at the Water Department storage building and the Glen Allen Volunteer Fire Department buildings during its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 7. The bid submitted by R. G. Remodeling totaled $2,000 and will include materials and labor which will consist of removing damaged sheet-rock from the ceilings and replacing the sheet-rock with oriented strand board (OSB) in all three buildings.
