Lions defeat Wildcats 44-12

The Hubbertville Lions and the Berry Wildcats were both looking to remain undefeated in the young season as they met at Fred Webster Stadium. Hubbertville took advantage of some early miscues by the Wildcats to take an early lead and went on to win by a score of 44 - 12.

Wildcats defeat Pirates 51-28

The Wildcats kicked off their 2025 campaign by traveling to Carrollton to face the Pickens Academy Pirates. The Berry defense staked the Wildcats to an early lead and senior running back Lake Norris scored five touchdowns as Berry cruised to a 51-28 victory. This marked the third year in a row that the Wildcats started with a win and it was Coach Danny Raines’s 150th career victory as a head coach.

Lady Wildcats crowned Area 10 AHSAA Champions

Lady Wildcats go to regionals

The Berry varsity girls secured a 13-0 win against the Marion County Red Raiders on Monday, April 28. The Lady Wildcats lost 6- 5 to the Brilliant Tigers on Tuesday, April 29, in game one of the championship game.  In game two, the Wildcats were victorious with a 5-2 win over Marion County. In the final game of the day, the Lady Wildcats secured a 8-4 victory over Brilliant.

Berry falls to the Appalachian Eagles

On Tuesday, April 15, the Berry varsity boys lost to the Sulligent Blue Devils 6-2.  The Wildcats lost 14-1 against the Appalachian Eagles in game one of a double header on Friday. In game two, the Wildcats fell 13-7 to the Eagles.

The Berry varsity girls grabbed a 7-4 victory over Marion County on Thursday, April 17. The Lady Wildcats were victorious with a 5-4 victory over Fayette County on Friday, April 18.

Berry sweeps Brilliant in double header

The Berry varsity boys defeated the Brilliant Tigers, 10- 0, on Tuesday, April 8, in game one of a doubleheader. In game two, the Wildcats won 5-0 against Brilliant. The Wildcats defeated the Sulligent Blue Devils, 10-8, on Friday, April 11. 

The Berry varsity girls secured a 6-3 victory over Brilliant on Monday, April 7. On Tuesday, the Lady Wildcats lost 2-1 to Brilliant.  The Wildcats grabbed a 4- 3 victory over Lamar County on Wednesday, April 9.  Berry fell 7-4 to the Hubbertville Lions on Thursday, April 10. 

Lady Wildcats named Bulldog Classic runner-ups

Berry High School varsity girls played in a triple header single elimination on Saturday, April 5. The Lady Wildcats beat Pickens Academy 8-3 and Oakman 2-1, but fell 10-6 to Lamar County in the championship game. “I am very proud of these young ladies and my coaches for overcoming many obstacles while continuing to rally around each other to finish as runner up in a very competitive field,” said Coach Darrell Thomas.

Lady Wildcats tie with South Lamar in triple header

On Monday, March 3, the Berry varsity girls earned a 12- 11 win over Pickens Academy.  The Lady Wildcats faced a tough challenge and fell 7-2 to the Gordo Greenwave on Friday, March 7.  On Saturday March 8, Berry opened the day with a 4-4 tie against South Lamar during their first game at Tiger Slam. In their second game of the day, the Lady Wildcats bounced back with a 4-3 win over Oakman. In the final game of the day, Berry fell short to Fayette, losing 4-2.
