Former representative arrested for theft

A local attorney and former state representative is being charged with theft for allegedly using $140,000 from an estate for personal use. According to 25th Judicial Circuit Court District Attorney Scott Slatton, Daniel Heath Boman, Winfield, was arrested on Thursday, June 18, on one count of first-degree theft of property. He was placed in the Winston County Jail on a $150,000 bond. Boman is a former member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing Fayette, Lamar and portion of Tuscaloosa in House District 16 from 2010 to 2014.
