Fayette defeats Berry, loses in WAC Tournament



Fayette started the week with a 15-5 victory over Berry. Maggie Mauldin suffered the loss as pitcher for Berry. Rylee Hill hit a home run and a single for the Lady Wildcats, with a run scored and two RBIs. Sarah Rice had two hits, while Danni Kate Naramore had two hits and a RBI. Kerra Aaron and Ashlyn Smith each had doubles, with Smith also driving in a run. No Fayette stats were available for the game.

 

Softball Roundup



The Berry Lady Wildcats defeated Hubbertville by the score of 2-0 on April 4 in the only game that either school played last week. Maggie Mauldin pitched the complete game shutout, allowing only five hits and striking out nine batters to record the victory.

 

Lady Lions win tournament



The Lady Lions finished first in the Hubbertville Round-Robin Softball Tournament, held on Saturday, March 18. Prior to the tournament, Hubbertville lost to Winston County by the score of 19-9. Nevaeh Hoobler started the game at pitcher for the Lady Lions and suffered the loss. No other stats were available for the game.

 

Berry defeats Aliceville 19-0



Berry softball started its week with a 19-0 win over Aliceville. Maggie Mauldin, Kryssa Fields and Rylee Hill each pitched one inning with nine total strikeouts. Hill also had the big bat for Berry, hitting a single and a triple, and driving in six runs. Kerra Aaron, Brylee Kelly and Josie-Mae Bonner also had hits for the Lady Wildcats, with Bonner also getting three RBIs.

 

Fayette softball wins three games during week



The Fayette softball team won its first game of the week by defeating Dora 21-12. The big hitters for Fayette were Harley Johnson with two hits, including a double, four RBIs and three runs scored; Abby Porter with three hits, including a home run, three RBIs and three runs scored; and Ally Porter with three hits, three RBIs and two runs scored. Skyi Lewis had a triple, scored three runs and had three RBIs.
