COLLEEN BOWEN EVERETTE BUNN

Funeral services for Mrs. Colleen Bowen Everette Bunn, age 95 of Fayette, were held on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, at 2 p.m. from  Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Sand Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. She passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 9, in the Fayette Long Term Care Facility.
Colleen was born Jan. 5, 1929, to Odie and Ada Belle Head Bowen. She was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church. Colleen attended Winfield City High School and later Hubbertville High School where she graduated in 1947. She spent much of her life employed with area sewing plants in Fayette and Berry before moving to Walmart where she worked for more than 15 years before her retirement.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bunn was preceded in death by husbands, Ben Everette and Thurman Bunn; brothers, Johnny E., James Allen, Tom Bowen and Robert Corbett; and sisters, Bettye Green and Martha Silas.
Mrs. Bunn is survived by her son, Benny T. Everette (Lillie) of Fayette; daughter, Nonna Wright (Jessie) of Fayette; grandchildren, Bryan Everette (Shari), Angela Cribb (Scott), Marsha Porter and Melanie Mabrey; great-grandchildren, Allyson Afshar (Bryan), Brooke Hynds (Caleb), Everette Cribb (Courtney), Morgan Cribb, Aaron Cribb (Tia), Madison Cribb (fiancé, Brodie Porter)and Lauren Cribb; great-great grandchildren, Ben Afshar, Bryce Afshar, Barrett Afshar, Harper Hynds, Callie Hynds, Harrison Hynds, Karington Cribb and Liam Sanderson; brothers, Ed Bowen and Marion Corbett (Edwina); and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
