JERRY DAVID MORRISON

Graveside services for Mr. Jerry David Morrison, age 69, of Fayette, were held Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021 from Covin Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Morrison died Wednesday, Aug. 18 at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie B. Morrison; and brother, Laddie Morrison.

David graduated from Fayette County High School in 1969, and received his Bachelors Degree in Business at Livingston University in 1972. After graduating from college, he owned and operated a successful construction business. He was a faithful and dedicated member of Covin Baptist Church for most of his life. He was a diligent servant and spent many hours caring for the church property and grounds. David loved the lord with his entire heart and longed to be back in his presence.

Survivors include his mother, Mellie B. Morrison; daughters, Dasha Porter, and Deah Hubbert (Jeremy); sister, Linda Wallace (William D.); mother of his children, Sharon Morrison; six grandchildren, Caidee Porter, Abby Porter, Skylar Hubbert, Gavin Hubbert, Bella Hubbert, and Jaxon Wilson; niece. April Wallace, and nephew, Heath Wallace (Beth). Honorary pallbearers were Covin Baptist Church members, Charles and Doris Cummings.

Active pallbearers were Heath Wallace, David Porter, Skylar Hubbert, Gavin Hubbert, Jeremy Hubbert, and William D. Wallace.
