Thanksgiving meals a blessing for community

The third annual “Thanksgiving at The Loft” was a tremendous success, with a record 225 plates served to residents of the community. Dana Beavers, organizer of the event, said that there was a tremendous outpouring of volunteers, donations and prayers that made the event a success this year.

The Loft, a community Christ-centered outreach ministry located in Fayette, will continue a tradition that it started three years ago by serving fresh-cooked meals on Thanksgiving Day.
Dana Beavers, owner of The Loft, said that she just wants to serve people who might not otherwise have a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal.

 

‘The Loft’ to offer free Thanksgiving meals



“The Loft,” a Christian Ministry located on Columbus Street in downtown Fayette, will again offer free Thanksgiving meals to the public this year. The meals will be available from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at The Loft on Nov. 25, and will consist of chicken and dressing, ham and/or turkey, sweet potato casserole, green beans, roll, dessert, and water or soft drink.

The Loft, a community Christ-centered outreach ministry located in Fayette, served fresh cooked Thanksgiving meals to citizens of the surrounding area on Thanksgiving Day. Dana Beavers, owner of the Loft, said that she wanted to serve people who might not otherwise have a Thanksgiving meal. The meal consisted of ham, dressing, green beans, sweet potato casserole, rolls, dessert and a drink. Beavers said that approximately 135 plates were served to members of the community.
