BLANCHE SHELTON
Funeral services for Mrs. Blanche Shelton, age 70 of the Fowlers Crossroads Community, were held Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Mountain Home Missionary Baptist Church. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery. Bro. Ed Nelson and Bro. John Killian officiated. She died Thursday, June 11, at Fayette Medical Center.
A lifelong resident of the Fowlers Crossroads Community in Fayette County, she was a proud graduate of Hubbertville High School and a faithful member of Mountain Home Missionary Baptist Church. Her love for the Lord was evident in the way she lived each day, and she never missed an opportunity to share the love of Jesus with those around her.
She devoted more than four decades of her life to a career in banking. In 1974, she began working for A.M. Grimsley Jr. at First National Bank in Fayette. Through the years, she faithfully served her community and built lasting relationships with customers and coworkers alike. She later continued her banking career with Regions Bank, where she served as a bank manager until her retirement in 2016. Her dedication, integrity and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She enjoyed shopping, tending to her flower gardens filled with beautiful hydrangeas and roses and making treasured memories on trips to the beach and to Gatlinburg. One of her greatest joys was talking about Jesus and sharing the hope and peace she found in her faith. She was a loving Christian example to all who knew her. Her kind heart, warm smile, and uplifting spirit could brighten anyone’s day. She had a special gift for making others feel loved, welcomed, and encouraged.
Above all, she was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she has been welcomed into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her legacy of faith, love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Cratus Dozier; brothers, Charles Dozier and Glen Dozier; and infant sister.
