DENNIS BOWLES

Funeral services for Mr. Dennis Bowles, age 64 of Bankston, were held Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at 2 p.m. from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Cedar Grove Cemetery. He died Monday, Nov. 10,  at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
He was a loving father, pawpaw, devoted husband, precious son and a wonderful hard-working man with a kind and tender heart.
He was precededed in death by his wife of 39 years, Teresa Dunavant Bowles; son, Bradley Dennis Bowles; parents, Theodore and Virginia Bowles; brother, Allen Bowles; and grandparents, Fred and Maudie Bowles and Marion and Belvia Moore.
Dennis is survived by his fiance', Vickie Atkins Cook; daughter, Kaycee Rogers (Stephen) of Haleyville; grandchildren, McKinley Bowles, Gracelyn Bowles, Sawyer Bowles, Eli Rogers and Emily Rogers; sister, Patricia Sowins of Fayette; brother-in-law, Tim Dunavant (Rhonda) of Bankston; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers were Randall Moore, Phillip Freeman, Eli Rogers, Sawyer Bowles, Tim Dunavant and Kenneth Mahoney.
Active pallbearers were Eric Bowles, Dusty Barnett, Chad Nichols, Phillip Freeman, Jr., Kevin Crumpton and Stephen Rogers.
