Johnnie Lou Logan

Funeral services for Mrs. Johnnie Lou Logan, age 94, of Guin, were held Friday, July 12, 2019, at 12 p.m., at Guin Church of Christ. Burial followed at West Alabama Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Logan died at her home on Tuesday, July 9, following a long illness.
She was a loving mother, wife, and a Christian woman.
Mrs. Logan was born June 20, 1925, the daughter of Harlie and Ethel Loden of Winfield. She had five sisters and a brother, all of whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Logan was married to B. C. Logan, Jr., “Buddy” in 1947, and they raised three sons, Bruce Wayne (Kathie), Benjamin David (Bonita), and Clarence Timothy (Judi). Following Buddy’s death in 1977, Mrs. Logan married J. C. Logan “Jake” in 1987, who passed away in 2015. In addition to her sons and their spouses, she is survived by six grandchildren, Heath, Chris, Blair, Cameron, Joshua, and Adam; and four great-grandchildren, Connor, Sarah Beth, Lily, and Henry. She also leaves behind many close and dear friends as well as extended family.
She worked for Health Tex in Guin for 25 years and was a member of the Church of Christ in Guin and Haleyville. She had a love of her job and coworkers. Johnnie Lou enjoyed walking through the woods, working outdoors, cooking (especially fried pies), visiting with family and friends, and solving “word find” puzzles.
The family would like to express gratitude to Dr. Shelby Sanford and members of Alabama Hospice for their loving and diligent care.
Active and honorary pallbearers were Adam Logan, Blair Logan, Heath Logan, Chris Logan, Don Chamblee, Don Baker, and Mikee Wallace.
