Police department conducts training class for church security

Danny Jenkins, Fayette police chief, greeted the participants from local churches at the police/fire station on Jan. 24 as they gathered for the department’s first church security training session. He asked Officer Adam Smith, who is also an ordained minister, to open the meeting with a word of prayer. As the participants bowed their heads in silent reverence, chaos begin to flow from the back of the building. One by one, the participants were hit by objects while Smith continued his prayer.
