Edwin D. “Punk” Turner
Funeral services for Mr. Edwin D. “Punk” Turner, age 81 of Fayette, were held Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019 from Nelson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Fayette Memorial Gardens. Enoch Estes and Levi Sides officiated. Mr. Turner passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, at Fayette Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lenora Henderson Turner; parents, Bruce and Verler Palmer Turner; brother, Jack Turner; brothers-in-law, Hank Henderson, John Price, Alfred Harbin, Jim Kelley and Stanley McAdams; and sisters-in-law, Andrea Henderson and Mary Ellen Turner.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Turner (Sherry) and Tim Turner (Lisa); one daughter, Deana Turner Northam (Rod); two sisters, Gloria McAdams and Brenda Taylor (Joe); seven grandchildren, Anthony Turner (Kayla), Olivia Wright (Jon), Jennie Northam, Rhett Northam, Ashley Eason (Michael), Ben Vines (Mary Beth) and Cora Linke (Jordan); three great-grandchildren, Tucker Eason, Oliver Linke, and Avalyn Vines; brothers-in-law, W.C. Henderson, Doc Henderson and Harold Henderson; sisters-in-law, Ann Hubbert, Hazel Harbin, Essie Price, Gwen Kelley, Lurene Henderson, and Karen Hollingsworth (Tommy); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers were Members of Davis Chapel Church of Christ.
Active pallbearers were William Oswalt, Jim Stoker, Jay Lawrence, Ronnie Lawrence, Chris Wallace, Eddie Smith, Fred Yerby and Greg Howton.
