Hershel was a friend to everyone. He never met a stranger. Hershel was a people person. He was the best step-father, granddaddy and great-granddaddy (PawPaw) ever. He loved to share things with his friends (jokes and little tokens of friendship). He was always taking cookies and goodies to his doctors’ office, his bank, his drugstore friends and other places. He loved doing things for other people. He will definitely be missed by his family and friends.
Hershel drove a forklift at Arvin Industries and retired in 2002 after 30 plus years.
Survivors include his step-daughter, Jerrie Elliott (Philips); his sisters, Sue Foster (Eugene) and Barbara Stiles (Bobby); brothers, Freddie Maddox and Neal Maddox; grandchildren, Adam Elliott (Jennifer), Brittany Elliott, Chase Elliott (Shanna Zerveskes); and great-grandchild, Brady Harris.
