A multi-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:15 a.m. on Monday, May 1, claimed the life of a Berry man. David A Moore, 37, was fatally injured when the 2018 RAM 3500 that he was driving struck a 2012 Freightliner tractor-trailer, driven by Ryan D. Finney, 41, of Macon Ga.

An 18-wheel, 2018 International truck and trailer overturned as it approached the right-turning lane of Highway 96, entering Highway 18. The accident occurred at approximately 12:18 p.m. on Thursday, April 20. The truck was owned by Excel Transportation, and was driven by Spencer Dillian Reid, of Wyoming, Mont.

An accident occurring at approximately 10:06 a.m. on Monday, April 10 resulted in two people being transported to the hospital by ambulance. A 2005 GMC Canyon, driven by Fannie Sue Cargile, 88, of Fayette, collided with a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Alexis LaDawn Norris, 21, of Bankston, as the Canyon entered Columbus Street from 3rd Ave. NE.
A two-vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 11:44 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, claimed the life of a Berry woman. Casey M. Jackson, 30, of Berry was fatally injured when the 2014 Chevrolet Captiva that she was driving collided head-on with the 2005 Ford F-150 driven by Juan S. Sebastian, 33, of Northport.

A Fayette Co. woman, Brandalyn “Brandy” Terry, age 40 of Berry, who was reported missing to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, was found deceased on Monday, Jan. 9 in Tuscaloosa County.
A one vehicle accident, occurring at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5 on Highway 96 in Fayette, resulted in no injuries. The 2022 Ford van was registered to Scientific Pest Control, and was driven by Heather June Kough, of 225 Bobo Blvd. in Fayette. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a power pole, breaking the pole and causing downed power lines.

A car crashed into a Fayette County residence just as the family living at that residence was sitting down to a meal. Luckily, all involved in the accident escaped with no or only minor injuries. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene, and a spokesperson for that department said that the accident occurred at approximately 7 p.m. on the night of Tuesday, Dec. 13.

A 2023 GMC Sierra, driven by Kelvin Wesley James of Fayette, came to rest on its side after being involved in a collision with a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Tony Wayne Moore of Vernon. The accident occurred at the intersection of County Road 32 and Highway 171/ 43 North, just south of Walmart. No other details of the accident are available.

An accident, occurring on Friday, June 10 at approximately 9:05 a.m., looked really bad but fortunately, the occupants of the vehicles were uninjured. The accident happened on Highway 43 North, between the intersections of 19th St. NW and 20th St. NW. According to the police report, a 2007 GMC Envoy van, driven by Clara A. Gilliam of Bankston, was entering the roadway from the parking lot of a nearby business and struck a 2017 Honda Accord, driven by Cheryl Denise Terrell of Guin, causing the Accord to flip upside down.
