Berry Town Council votes to purchase land

The Berry Town Council voted to purchase land next to its current industrial park during its Feb. 6 meeting. All council members were present, with the exception of Councilman Troyce Townsel.
It was explained to the council that the town could purchase 35 acres of land from Jenny Ledlow at a cost of $111,110. The transaction would also be subject to a lease agreement for a small portion of the property.
