Fayette Tigers win four games during week

The Fayette Tigers continued its strong start for the year, winning all four games that the team played during the week. In a classic pitchers’ duel, the Tigers defeated Gordo 2-1.
Gordo scored its run during the first inning, then was shut down at the plate for the remainder of the game. Colton McCaleb pitched for Fayette, allowing only one run on three hits in seven innings of work. He struck out seven batters and walked only one to pick up the victory. Walt Tucker led the Tigers at the plate, collecting three hits in three at bats.
