Funeral services for Mrs. Angela Hannah, age 63, of Vernon, were held Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020 from Berry Baptist Church. Bro. Rod Ward officiated. Burial followed in the Ashcraft Corner Cemetery. Mrs. Hannah died Monday, Aug. 24 at Fayette Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Eleanor “Midge” Lee and Maureen Waters; a brother, David Hassell; her father, Troy Hassell; and a grandson, Terry Norris.
Angie was born July 8, 1957 in Columbus, Miss. to Troy and Adelle Gladden Hassell of Fayette. She grew up and attended school in Fayette. Growing up, she loved spending time with her grandmother, Ruby, cooking and gardening. She was a kind and giving soul. Angie always made friends easily. She worked for many years at McCoy Manufacturing in Vernon and later in life at her sister-in-law’s restaurant, where one of her greatest joys was making desserts and chatting with the regular customers who she grew to quickly love. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, cooking and spending time with her family. She loved them more than anything.
She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, William Earl Hannah of Vernon; her daughter, Cassie Barrentine (Wesley) of Berry; step-daughters, Amy Howard of Sulligent and Lisa Norris of Columbus, Miss.; grandchildren, Brandtley and Zander Barrentine of Berry, Jennifer Supsky (David) of Shepherdsville, Ken., Danielle Howard of Caledonia, Miss., William Robert Hannah (Stephanie) of Columbus, Miss., Travis Howard (Jessica) of Crossville, Tenn., Stacy Perkins (Daniel) of Ethelsville, and Paige Townley (Jacob) of Reform; fifteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Dennis Hassell of Pineville, La., and a host of friends, nieces, nephews and extended family.
