Glen Allen resident loses life after being struck by train

An accident in Glen Allen on Wednesday, July 8 claimed the life of a Fayette County resident. Gaylon Wayne Dubose Jr., 53, of Glen Allen, was killed when a Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) train struck him on a section of tracks near Glen Allen. The accident happened at approximately 7 p.m., and according to investigators, Dubose died on the scene. Lieutenant Dustin Hulsey, investigator for the Winfield Police Department, was one of the officers who responded to the scene. He said that the train’s conductor told him that as the train approached a section of tracks that was located between Highway 129 and County Road 31, he noticed a man sitting on the tracks.
