The Fayette County Board of Education toured Berry Elementary School and Berry High School before holding its Oct. 17 meeting in the library of Berry High School. All board members were present for the meeting, with the exception of board member Tierre Agnew. Prior to the start of the meeting Athena Hubbert was recognized as Berry Elementary School’s “Teacher of the Year,” and Kelley Strickland received recognition as Berry High School’s “Teacher of the Year.”
