DEREK MORGAN
Funeral services for Mr. Derek Morgan, age 39 of Fayette, were held Thursday, July 13, 2023 from Southside Baptist Church. Burial followed in Fayette Memorial Gardens. Bro. Robert Parrish, Mark Brown and Matt Watkins officiated. He died Saturday, July 8, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pete and Mary Morgan and Dorothy Englebert; and uncle, Danny Dodson.
Survivors include his wife, Bethanie Morgan of Fayette; special foster children; parents, O.P. and Debbie Morgan of Fayette, sisters, Devon Eason (Bradley) and Kayla Stripling, both of Fayette; and nieces and nephews, Grady Bullock, Tuff Stripling, Jadyn Bullock, Tripp Eason, Piper Stripling, Jase Eason, Paxton Dean and Georgia Dean.
Honorary pallbearers were cousins. Active pallbearers were Richard Morgan, Russell Morgan, Nick Hodges, Jared Hodges, Jacob Morgan, Blake Martin, Grady Bullock, Tuff Stripling, Tripp Eason and Jase Eason.
