Hubbert defeats Ivey for County Commission seat

In the only locally contested race within Fayette County for the Nov. 4 General Election, Republican David Hubbert defeated Democrat Willie Ivey for the Fayette County Commission District 3 seat. Hubbert received 799 votes (87.61 percent) to 107 votes (11.73 percent for Ivey). Hubbert will take the oath of office prior to the next meeting of the Fayette County Commission.
