The Fayette City Council approved the sewer rate increases, that had been previously introduced, during its Aug. 9 meeting. All council members were present for the meeting.
Prior to the start of the meeting, Jeff Crowley, manager of the Fayette Housing Authority, led the council in prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.
